Nestled in the hills behind Nice, the Château was built on a site which dates back to the Roman invasion. Then there will be some free time at Casino Square. You can try your hand at the roulette tables, do some designer shopping, see the beautiful gardens, or simply engage in some people watching in this playground of the rich and famous.  Breakfast will be served at your hotel.

Afterwards, join your tour guide and coach for a visit to the Musée d’Orsay. This museum, built in the former Orsay railway station on Paris’ “Left Bank,” houses an unmatched collection of French Impressionist and post-Impressionist works. It covers a period from the mid-19th century up to 1914 and contains works from Degas, Rodin, Monet, Manet, Renoir, Cezanne, van Gogh and others. Upstairs the grand salon still dazzles and there is an elegant tearoom and restaurant with a good view over the river.

Lunch will be included at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, your guide and coach will take you to the outskirts of Paris to visit the incredible royal Château de Versailles. This was the site of a royal hunting lodge until France’s greatest king, Louis XIV, began transforming it in the seventeenth century into an immense and extravagant complex. Louis, sometimes known as “the Sun King,” was the most powerful European ruler of his era and he made the palace the center of his court and his royal power. It stayed that way under his successors until the revolution of 1789. The opulence is breathtaking. Nowhere is more remarkable than the famous “Hall of Mirrors.” Outside, it is surrounded by famously formal gardens with geometrically designed walkways, fountains, canals and terraces.

Lunch will be included during the day.

Dinner will be included in the evening.
