GlobalU Terms and Conditions of Use
This document sets out the conditions that apply to your use of GlobalU (“Platform”). Our GlobalU platform is subjected to certain terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) regarding usage which you need to comply with. These terms and conditions govern the use of the Platform. GlobalU owns and operates the Platform and may change these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice to you. You agree to check these Terms and Conditions for changes from time to time. Your continued use of the Platform will be deemed as your acceptance of any changes to these Terms and Conditions. You will use GlobalU solely to support your individual learning and training needs (“End Users”) as set out in these Terms and Conditions.
These Terms of Use apply to GlobalU platform only, and not to the websites of any other institutions, including companies, agencies, or universities members of GlobalU.
The content we provide on our platform is owned by us or by our Partner Institutions. You have no rights over that content except as provided in the contract.
1. About Us
1.1. GlobalU (the “Platform” or “We” or “Us”) means a company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirate. Registered office: Block 5, Dubai Knowledge Park, P.O. Box 500651, Al Sufouh 2, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. “You” or “Your” or “the student” means the person who has been granted access to our GlobalU platform.

2. Terms of Use
2.1. GlobalU provides access to and use of this platform on the following terms:
- You agree to use this platform only for lawful purposes, and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else’s use and enjoyment of this platform. Prohibited behaviour includes harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any person, transmitting obscene or offensive content, or disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within this platform. You may not impersonate another person.
- You may not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the platform or any network connected to it, nor breach the security or authentication measures on the platform or any network connected to it.
- You may not interfere by any automatic or manual device, program, algorithm or methodology with the proper working of the platform, or any transaction being conducted on the platform, or with any other person’s use of the platform. You must not:
- upload, download, post, email, transmit, store, share, import or otherwise make available any content that is unlawful, harassing, threatening, harmful, tortious, defamatory, libellous, abusive, violent, obscene, vulgar, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, racially, or ethnically offensive, or otherwise objectionable.
- stalk, harass, threaten, or harm other Users or GlobalU personnel.
- adapt, download, revise, broadcast, reverse engineer, duplicate, publish, modify, disseminate, display, transfer, or otherwise copy, disclose and/or distribute any GlobalU content and material on the platform unless specifically authorised by GlobalU.
- post, send, transmit or otherwise make available any unsolicited or unauthorised email messages, advertising, promotional materials, junk mail, spam, or chain letters, including, without limitation, bulk commercial advertising and informational announcements;
- mislead recipients as to the origin of any content transmitted through the platform.
- upload, post, email, transmit, store, or otherwise make available any material that contains viruses, or any other computer code, files or programs designed to harm, interfere, or limit the normal operation of the platform (or any part thereof), or any other computer software or hardware.
- interfere with or disrupt the platform (including accessing the platform through any automated means, like scripts or web crawlers), or any servers or networks connected to the platform, or any policies, requirements or regulations of networks connected to the platform (including any unauthorised access to, use or monitoring of data or traffic thereon).
- plan or engage in any illegal activity; and/or
- gather and store personal information on any other users of the platform to be used in connection with any of the foregoing prohibited activities.
3. Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
3.1. GlobalU is committed to working together to build a learning community founded on equality of opportunity - a learning community which celebrates the rich diversity of our student and staff populations and one in which discriminatory behaviour is challenged and not tolerated within our community.
3.2. We will do all that is reasonable to ensure that our culture, policies, and procedures are made accessible to students who have disabilities and to comply with our legal and moral responsibilities under equality legislation for online learning.
4. Our obligations
4.1. GlobalU will, for the duration of your Contract with us provide the online educational services with reasonable skill and to the standard required by law. GlobalU will exercise reasonable care in providing educational services through our platform, but we cannot guarantee that the student will achieve his / her desired results or that results will be sufficient to gain entry to other educational establishments.
5. Your Obligations
5.1. You agree under these terms and conditions that you will:
- not pass on to third parties a password assigned to you during your registration for your account and/or determined by you.
- keep your account information current and protected from access by such third parties.
5.2. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account and password. We are entitled to block access to your account if there is reasonable suspicion that the password is being used

You will be informed of this and will be assigned a new password.
5.4. You will not use the Platform for commercial purposes and will use them only for your personal use. The use of an account to read out, store or pass on personal data of other users or for purposes other than the intended use of the Platform is prohibited.
6. Changes to the Platform and Accuracy of Content
6.1. From time to time we may update the Platform to reflect changes our users’ needs, our business priorities, to enhance functionality, or to address security issues. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any major changes. We do not guarantee that the Platform will always be available or be uninterrupted. We may suspend or withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of the Platform subject to reasonable notice.
6.2. You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access the Platform through your internet connection are aware of these terms of use and other applicable terms and conditions, and that they comply with them.
6.3. GlobalU training material content has been carefully checked at best of knowledge. However, all warranties, terms and conditions of satisfactory quality and fitness for purpose are excluded to the fullest permitted by law. In particular, GlobalU training material may be updated as required at any time to reflect knowledge update, educational improvement or correct any formal or theoretical error that could be detected.
7. Consequences of breaches
7.1. In the event of a breach of any obligation arising from these Terms of Use by a registered User, GlobalU is entitled to block and deactivate the User’s account immediately and without prior notice, to delete content or, in the case of obvious misuse of the account and violations of third parties’ rights or use, to delete it immediately, as well as to take other suitable measures to protect itself, its services and/or the Platform against such breaches. The same applies in case that there is sufficient reasonable suspicion of such violations.
8. Liability
8.1. GlobalU shall always use reasonable skill and care to ensure that the information provided on the Platform and its webpages is up-to-date, correct and complete and has created its own content to the best of its knowledge. Although we put efforts on designing, programming, and providing the best as possible platform, we do not guarantee that this platform or any content, service or feature of this platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, compliant with all hard- and software, or that any defects will be corrected, or that your use of the platform will provide expected results.
9. Termination
9.1. In the event of termination, GlobalU is entitled to block and/or delete the respective account and all content of the registered User.
10. Complaints
10.1. GlobalU welcomes feedback from prospective students and will engage with them on an informal and formal basis in accordance with its policies and procedures.
11. Data Protection
11.1. GlobalU as a Data Controller shall implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure that processing of personal information is performed in accordance with the UK GDPR and DPA (2018). We have put in place systems and procedures to ensure that it is compliant with the UK General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). You consent to us obtaining personal data about you (including, without limitation, a photograph or other visual data of you, your name, your address and your age).
11.2. You consent to us holding and processing all such personal data for legal, personnel, administrative, management, advertising, and marketing purposes in respect of us providing educational services to you in respect of your use of our platform and in particular to the processing of any “sensitive personal data” as defined in the UK General Data Protection Regulation 2018. This information is provided in the Privacy Policy and it is important that you read that information.
11.3. Information Sharing: GlobalU will share aspects of your personal data for the purpose of compiling statistics about applicants and students for use by government bodies. You also agree that we have the authority to use your data as well as information about you generated through our platform for the provision of education services and research. You acknowledge that this data will also be required to provide information to external statutory agencies and relevant third parties. We will use this information whilst you are a student and after you have left.
12. Intellectual Property Rights
12.1. All intellectual property rights in the Platform belong to us (or our licensors) and the rights in the Platform are licensed to you. You have no intellectual property rights in, or to, the Platform other than the right to use them in accordance with these terms.
12.2. All copyright, trademarks, design rights, patents, and other intellectual property rights (registered and unregistered) and all content located on this platform shall remain vested in GlobalU. You must abide by all copyright notices and restrictions contained on our platform.
12.3. Unless otherwise specifically stated, you may not copy, reproduce, republish, disassemble, decompile, download, post, broadcast, transmit, or make available to the public any of GlobalU’s training material portion, file, content or information.
13. Our responsibility to you
13.1. If we do not comply with these terms and conditions, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if they were an obvious consequence of our breach or if they were contemplated by you and us at the time we entered into this Contract.
13.2. We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
- any other matter which we are not permitted to exclude or limit our liability by law.
13.3. We will not be responsible to you for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under this Contract that is caused by an event outside our reasonable control.
14. Other Important Terms
14.1. Enforcement: No failure or delay by you or GlobalU to enact any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall constitute a waiver of any provision and will not prevent you or the us from enforcing that provision at a later date.
14.2. Severability: Each of the paragraphs of these Terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.
14.3. Third party rights: Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall confer any rights upon any third party. The agreement created by these Terms and Conditions is between you and GlobalU.
14.4. Course refund: If you cancel your one-time, paid enrolment for a course, you are eligible for a complete refund until 14 days after the payment date or until you earn a course certificate, whichever comes earlier. Provided you have not completed or downloaded a significant portion of the course content. In the case of pre-enrolment and payment for a course, you can receive a complete refund until 14 days after the course launch or until you have earned your course certificate, whichever comes earlier. Provided, you have not completed or downloaded a significant portion of the course content.
14.5. Jurisdiction: These terms and conditions is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions or their subject matter or formation
